Build and host your own documentation site on Hep.gg. Write in Markdown, use our component kit (admonitions, cards, API reference blocks, tabs, steps, and more), get a live preview as you type, and publish to a hep.gg subdomain or your own custom domain. You can build a site by hand in the dashboard, or hand a key to your AI assistant and have it generate the whole thing.

Creating a site

Open Dashboard -> Docs, click New site, and give it a name. Your site starts as a polished, ready-to-edit template - a home page in your accent color, a footer, and a few sample pages that show off the components - and a short guided tour walks you through the editor. The editor has six tabs:

  • Content - a file tree, a Markdown editor, and a live preview.
  • Appearance - your theme colors and (on Prime) custom CSS.
  • Navigation - your navbar, footer, home page, SEO, and redirects.
  • Domains - mount the site on a hep.gg subdomain or your own domain.
  • Search & Analytics - site search, page-view analytics, and an optional ads toggle.
  • API & AI - editing keys for scripting or your AI assistant.

Tiers

Free sites get 2 sites, a hep.gg subdomain, the full free component kit, and a small "Powered by Hep.gg" footer. Hep.gg Prime raises you to 10 sites (with stackable extra slots), removes the footer, and unlocks custom domains, full theming with custom CSS, site search, and the premium component set. Everything you write stays portable: export any site as a zip whenever you like.
