Domains and search

Your free docs.hep.gg address, publishing, custom domains, site search, analytics, and the machine-readable index.

Publishing and addresses live under Publishing in the Settings panel, and the Publish button in the top bar.

Your free address

Every site has an address at <slug>.docs.hep.gg, shown in the top bar and on your site card. Click Publish and it is live within a few seconds. You choose the slug when you create the site and can change it later under Identity; a slug uses lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.

Custom domains

Hep.gg Prime lets you mount your own custom domain. Add and verify the domain once from the Domains hub, then pick it under Publishing. Your custom domain becomes the canonical address, and the free docs.hep.gg address redirects to it.

On Hep.gg Prime you can turn on site search under Publishing. Visitors get fast full-text search across all of your published docs, right from the navbar.

Analytics

Publishing also shows page views for the last 30 days and your most-read pages. You can optionally enable unobtrusive ads on your site from the Advanced section.

Machine-readable index

Every published site can expose a plain-text index of its docs for AI agents and crawlers, with each doc available as raw Markdown. The llms.txt setting under Publishing is Auto by default: the index appears once any doc has an AI version. Set it to On to publish every doc, or Off to publish none.
